About the OpportunityThis is a rare opportunity to step into a highly specialized research role at a national public sector organization shaping the future of medical education and physician assessment in Canada. As a Research Associate, you will lead rigorous, end to end research that explains not just outcomes, but the why behind them, influencing policy, assessment design, and national conversations in health professions education.
Working closely with medical education leaders, psychometricians, statisticians, and external subject matter experts, you will act as a visible research voice for the organization. Your work will extend beyond analysis into thought leadership, presentations, and peer reviewed publications that contribute to safe, effective, and equitable health care across Canada.

Your Responsibilities- You will lead independent qualitative and quantitative research projects from inception through dissemination.
- You will design studies, analyze complex datasets, and translate findings into actionable insights.
- You will collaborate with internal teams and external researchers to advance shared research priorities.
- You will author peer reviewed publications, reports, and scholarly outputs.
- You will present research findings to internal and external audiences with clarity and confidence.
- You will represent the organization at regional, national, and international meetings as a research expert.
- PhD in Assessment, Education, Health Professions Education, Psychology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive research experience using both qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
- Demonstrated record of peer reviewed publications in assessment or medical education.
- Experience leading full cycle research from design to dissemination.
- Advanced proficiency with statistical software such as SAS or SPSS.
- Strong presentation skills and comfort representing research in public forums.
