Participate in meaningful research as a Part-Time Social Policy Researcher in Ottawa at the Centre for Faith and Public Life. Analyze public policy issues pertinent to the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada.
This role reports to Julia Beazley and encompasses 30 hours weekly, focusing on vital social policy research for a 10-week term starting May 4, 2026. The position is particularly suited for undergraduate or master’s students in relevant disciplines such as political science or sociology.
Key Responsibilities:
• Track key public policy developments and court cases
• Research selected topics and scholars thoroughly
• Develop summaries and briefing notes on findings
• Maintain electronic filing in EFC's database
• Input relevant resources into Zotero
Requirements:
• Minimum of high school education; college diploma preferred
• Proficiency in Office 365 and familiarity with spreadsheets
• Excellent organizational and attention-to-detail skills
• Strong interpersonal skills for team interaction
• Experience with AI is an advantage
