WSP seeks an Archaeological Field Director to lead fieldwork and mentor teams on various projects. This role focuses on surveys, excavations, and data collection activities, while emphasizing collaboration with project partners and Indigenous communities. Your expertise will contribute to the success of both archaeological reporting and project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead archaeological fieldwork programs, including surveys and excavations
• Mentor and support field technicians for efficient project execution
• Conduct identification of Indigenous and Euro-Canadian artifacts
• Develop field technicians and junior team members
• Collaborate with stakeholders to meet regulatory requirements
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Archaeology or related field
• Professional Research License for archaeological fieldwork
• Minimum 1 year as an Archaeological Field Director
• Proficiency with digital data collection tools
• Strong experience with Indigenous engagement
