In this experienced role, you will oversee archaeological assessments in alignment with the Ontario Heritage Act, providing expert guidance on processes and client requirements. Engage meaningfully with Indigenous Nations and deliver high-quality project outcomes while mentoring your team. Your leadership will advocate for health and safety on all projects while integrating innovative technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage archaeological assessment requirements and excavation strategies
• Build strategic partnerships with Indigenous Nations
• Guide clients on procedural constraints and engagement
• Lead proposal contributions and business development initiatives
• Ensure quality deliverables and mentor team members
Requirements:
• 15+ years of archaeological experience and leadership
• Degree in archaeology, anthropology, or similar field
• Deep understanding of CRM and community engagement
• Knowledge of relevant legislative frameworks
• Ability to secure provincial and federal clearance
