This position at EDC is ideal for Master’s or PhD students passionate about international trade. You will lead independent research initiatives while utilizing your analytical skills to explore Canada’s economic engagement and productivity. Strong verbal and written communication abilities are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead an independent research project from conception to output
• Refine research questions and analytical frameworks
• Conduct literature reviews on trade and investment topics
• Manage, clean, and validate relevant datasets
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations of findings
Requirements:
• Pursuing or completed Master’s/PhD in Economics or related field
• Experience in international trade concepts and econometric methods
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in programming tools
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
