This position is ideal for PhD students enrolled at an accredited Canadian post-secondary institution, focusing on biology and research methodologies. You will conduct experiments in sustainable crop production, including assessing plant growth and soil carbon dynamics.
This role offers opportunities to deepen your knowledge in computational biology and enhance your research skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Set up greenhouse experiments on AMF effects
• Sample crop growth characteristics and phenology
• Perform soil and plant analysis using lab techniques
• Collaborate with AAFC staff in research initiatives
• Document findings and assist in report writing
Requirements:
• Full-time PhD student in Biology
• Experience with RNA sequencing and machine learning
• Knowledge in experimental design implementation
• Familiarity with multi-omics and AMF species
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities
Leverage computational tools and fieldwork to contribute to significant agricultural research at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada.
