Contribute to research success as a Lab Assistant Manager supporting the INSPIRE Core Facility. This role provides hands-on assistance with experimental setups and laboratory management.
As a Lab Assistant Manager, you will be part of the support team overseeing crucial research infrastructure and technical support at the University of Ottawa. Your top responsibilities include equipment support, monitoring lab facilities, and ensuring smooth operational processes for interdisciplinary research activities. This role is ideal for candidates pursuing advanced degrees in psychology or related fields.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in experimental setup and monitor lab equipment
• Provide onsite technical support for equipment failures
• Oversee the use and maintenance of laboratory facilities
• Manage involvement with the Qualtrics online survey platform
• Support the integrated system for research participation
Requirements:
• Baccalaureate with Honours in Psychology (or equivalent)
• Preference for Masters or Doctorate candidates in psychology
• Experience with INSPIRE installations preferred
• Knowledge of relevant software and hardware tools
• Effective communication skills in both official languages
