Enhance equity, diversity, and inclusion in research as Carleton University’s EDI Research Officer. This grant-funded role aims to implement pivotal EDI initiatives in the research ecosystem.
The EDI Research Officer, reporting to the Associate Vice-President, will collaborate with various campus partners to integrate EDI principles into ongoing university-wide initiatives. Your expertise in EDI will help shape the research culture by developing strategies for stakeholder engagement and monitoring progress. Essential skills include project management, critical thinking, and relationship-building to foster inclusive practices across the university.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement the Dimensions cohort program activities
• Support Carleton’s Self-Assessment Team recruitment and onboarding
• Represent Carleton at Dimensions program meetings
• Execute EDI-focused internal and external engagement strategies
• Collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative EDI data
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in a relevant field required
• Minimum three years of EDI experience in a post-secondary setting
• Strong knowledge of EDI-related issues, including legal frameworks
• Advanced communication and project management skills
• Experience with Indigenous initiatives preferred
