WSP is expanding its Archaeological Team and is seeking a skilled Archaeological Field Director in Ottawa. In this pivotal role, you will manage fieldwork, mentor field technicians, and engage with various stakeholders to achieve compliance and project goals. Your leadership will drive high-quality archaeological outcomes while ensuring adherence to safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Direct archaeological field programs and data collection
• Support and develop junior technicians in the field
• Identify artifacts and conduct field assessments
• Produce technical reports and assist in proposal writing
• Ensure health and safety compliance in all field activities
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Archaeology or related field
• Professional Research License in good standing
• At least 1 year as an Archaeological Field Director
• Proficient in digital collection tools like ArcGIS
• Exceptional organizational skills and detail orientation
