This full-time role within the Polavarapu Research Group combines computational skills and collaborative research in a vibrant setting. You'll tackle complex problems in genomic data analysis for rare neuromuscular and neurodevelopmental disorders. Engage with a team dedicated to translating research into clinical practice.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and maintain reproducible genomic analysis pipelines
• Implement AI-based tools for variant interpretation
• Conduct in-depth analysis from FASTQ to variant calling
• Align genomic findings with clinical data
• Support writing for grants and scientific publications
Requirements:
• PhD in a relevant field such as bioinformatics or genomics
• Extensive experience in analyzing sequencing data
• Proficient in programming with Python or R
• Exposure to genomic interpretation tools
• Working familiarity with HPC environments and containerization
