CHEO RI has an immediate requirement for a Research Coordinator.We are looking for a highly motivated Research Coordinator for the Nursing Research Centre to support the realization/enactment of the CHEO/CHEO RI/uOttawa Nursing Research Strategy. The research coordinator will have responsibility to coordinate several research studies and projects. This includes managing studies, collecting and analyzing primary data, preparing submissions for the Research Ethics Board (REB), conducting literature searches and summaries, supporting grant applications and publications, liaising with investigators and team members, increasing the visibility of nurse‑led research through internal and external platforms, and contributing to various other research‑related tasks.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIESReporting to the Nursing Research Scientist:
- Assist with research studies and projects.
- Assist with protocol development.
- Assist with Research Ethics Board (REB) and/or grant submissions and revisions.
- Be responsible for tracking and updating all REBs.
- Assist with data collection and analysis.
- Conduct literature searches and summarize relevant information.
- Develop and administer surveys in REDCap.
- Track publications, conference presentations, awards.
- Contribute to the preparation of research reports, publications, posters and presentations for conferences.
- Perform various administrative duties related to ongoing research (i.e. process payments in Workday).
- Coordinate, organize, and chair relevant research meetings.
- Prepare social media messages, in collaboration with the CHEO RI communications, related to the activities, output, and impact of the Nursing Research Centre.
- Manage administrative tasks associated with the nursing research internship program in collaboration with the Nursing Research Centre senior administrative assistant and external collaborators (i.e. promotion of program, booking interviews with potential candidates, communications (creating profiles of interns, promoting their projects, annual report, supporting interns, mentors, managers and leads, organizing intern showcase finale across institutions), booking rooms and meetings, troubling shooting technology during meetings, booking guest speakers, and…
