This position, geared towards law students, focuses on critical research related to tenant rights and data transparency in Ontario. As a Legal Research Assistant, you will support projects that analyze the Residential Tenancies Act and conditions faced by tenants. Candidates must have completed their first year of law school and demonstrate a strong capacity for research and effective writing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with legal research on tenant rights
• Collect and analyze data regarding tenant representation
• Review the impact of the Residential Tenancies Act
• Support project initiatives with collaborative efforts
• Process various data sources relevant to tenant issues
Requirements:
• Must have completed first year of law studies
• Demonstrated research and writing excellence
• Interest in access to justice and tenant issues
• Experience with data analysis and requests
