Health Economist

Canada’s Drug Agency is looking for a Health Economist to assess economic evaluations and data. This role can be hybrid or remote, promoting work-life balance.

We are filling two positions in our Health Economics team located in Ottawa or Toronto. As a Health Economist, you will design economic evaluations, participate in interdisciplinary research, and produce expert reports. Your analyses will empower decision-makers regarding drugs and health technologies across Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

• Critically appraise economic evaluations submitted by manufacturers

• Design and conduct economic evaluations and budget impact analyses

• Develop computer-based models for economic assessments

• Lead internal and external research team efforts

• Prepare detailed reports for stakeholders

Requirements:

• Graduate degree in economics or related fields

• 2 to 4 years of experience with economic evaluations

• Strong analytical skills in decision analytics and statistical modeling

• Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences

• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook
