Hourly wage: starting at $16.60 and may increase based on relevant knowledge, skills, education, and prior experience. Any wage will fall within the wage scale established in accordance with the collective agreement.
Location: 1670 Heron Rd, Ottawa, ON K1V 2P6
Shift: Days, Evenings & Weekends
What You’ll Do- Unload deliveries and organize products in the backroom or cooler.
- Restock shelves with new inventory, ensuring items are placed in the correct locations.
- Rotate stock (first-in, first-out method).
- Keep aisles, shelves, and the overall store clean and tidy.
- Sweep and mop floors as needed.
- Handle spills promptly and ensure the store is safe for customers.
- Help customers find specific products or answer questions about items.
- Provide recommendations and offer assistance with shopping needs.
- Occasionally assist customers with putting groceries into their vehicle.
- Conduct periodic inventory counts and ensure accuracy.
- Report any discrepancies or damaged items to supervisors.
- Occasionally receive product and ensure the invoice is accurate.
- Set up and maintain promotional displays and end caps.
- Ensure displays are visually appealing and well-organized.
- Update signage and price tags as needed.
Responsibilities and relationships may change as necessary to achieve Metro's business objectives.
