Position Summary
Working as a Deli Associate at Walmart Canada involves delivering customer service, maintaining the deli area, stocking goods, and ensuring proper pricing and signage.
What you'll do- Zoned the department
- Rotated stock and checked for expired products
- Ensured merchandise was properly signed and priced
- Adhered to standards and policies for cold‑chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell‑by dates, and expiration dates
- Processed orders for deli department merchandise; sliced and prepared meat, cheese, fried chicken, and assisted with requested items
- Provided assistance to front‑end associates with price checks
- Prepared deli food orders, meat, cheese, and utilized slicers, stackers, and other utensils; prepared chicken using rotisserie oven and deep fryer; filled prepared salads and side dishes for display area and specialty orders from customers as required
- Maintained the area neat, clean, and organized; free of fixtures, unnecessary debris, foreign objects, and liquids
