Position: Supervisor I

Kate Spade New York is an innovative lifestyle brand that values enthusiasm, creativity, and customer service excellence. We are seeking a Supervisor to lead our store floor, drive sales and customer engagement, and uphold brand standards.

Position Summary

As a Supervisor, you will create a high‑energy, customer‑first sales environment, coach the team, and ensure operational excellence while driving store profitability.

Responsibilities
  • Drive personal sales performance and lead the team to meet sales and KPI targets; analyze metrics and implement best practices.
  • Build client relationships through proactive outreach, ensuring exceptional in‑store and after‑sales experiences, and leading initiatives for repeat business and VIP retention.
  • Model Kate Spade service behaviors, set the tone on the sales floor, and elevate service and selling behaviors for the team.
  • Coaching and people development: set performance goals, provide feedback, support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training.
  • Foster an inclusive, equitable, and diverse culture that empowers teams to thrive authentically.
  • Supervise opening/closing procedures: cash handling, bank deposits, register operations, and facility security (key‑holding).
  • Accurately process POS transactions and inventory functions (transfers, receiving, shipments, repairs, damages) to maintain inventory integrity.
  • Manage stockroom organization and coordinate timely replenishment to ensure sales floor availability.
  • Drive omni‑channel and digital initiatives, including live‑stream shopping, brand‑safe social media engagement, and customer data capture.
Requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; detail‑oriented, proactive, and capable of multi‑tasking.
  • 2+ years of retail service experience in a management or floor leadership role (luxury/premium preferred).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Social media literacy and understanding of platform trends.
  • Comfort with omni‑channel/virtual selling tools and clienteling systems.
  • Strong English language proficiency (for EU).
  • Ability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally) and to climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver within sales floor and stockroom.
Schedule

Must work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including nights, weekends, peak busy seasons, and high‑traffic retail days (including, but not limited to, public holidays).

Base Pay Range

$20.50–$26.00 per hour. Tapestry will comply with all applicable minimum wage and pay laws.
