Donation Processing Retail Associate

Process donations and support shoppers as a permanent part-time Retail Associate with The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Ottawa.

Working weekdays and/or Saturdays, you will help transform incoming goods into organized, sale-ready merchandise. The position combines sorting, pricing, packing, customer interaction, replenishment, and safety duties. Candidates should bring attention to detail, product-processing or service experience, and the ability to handle physical retail work.

• Load, unload, sort, pack, and price donations
• Protect donated items and follow quality standards
• Answer customer enquiries about available stock
• Replenish shelves and remove directed merchandise
• Clear hazards and maintain safe common areas

• Completion of some high school coursework
• Knowledge of lifting guidelines
• Computerized environment experience is required
• Good oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift, bend, twist, push, and pull products
