This Sales Associate position serves customers by actively seeking their needs and providing assistance. You will cooperate with supervisors and fellow associates in Lumber, Building Materials, Paint, Hardware, Electrical, Plumbing, Seasonal, or Tool Rental. The work centers on understanding projects, explaining merchandise benefits, and identifying products needed for completion.
Key Responsibilities:- Seek customers and assess their project needs
- Ask questions about project expertise and requirements
- Explain merchandise features, benefits, and applications
- Identify products needed to complete projects
- Keep assigned areas clean, safe, and stocked
- Ability to multitask across customer service activities
- Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- Sales driven environment experience considered an asset
- Trade experience considered an asset
- Strong communication, reading, and computer skills
