This role provides mobile guard services, project a security presence, and may include operating a vehicle to perform patrol, inspection, and incident response services.

CA $20.00/hr - CA $20.00/hr

• Provide mobile guarding services; maintain radio or other communications contact with office to report status or incidents.
• Check for unsafe conditions, hazards, security violations, and unauthorized persons; inspect buildings, grounds and security devices; monitor and set security devices.
• Protect evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations; set up barriers and signage, and provide direction or information to others.
• Prepare logs or reports as required for patrol route; write and/or type reports and/or enter information in a computer using standard grammar; inspect security control logs and take action as required.
• Observe and report incidents or suspicious activity to client representatives, company management, life/safety personnel or public safety authorities as appropriate for the circumstances and/or as required.
• Respond to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents or conditions following procedures established for assignment, by the company, or through training or certification.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as required.

• Must have a valid security guard license and first aid - CPR.
• Must have a G license and a clean driver record.
• Must have a minimum of 5 years experience driving.
• Must be able to work rotational shifts (evenings and nights).
• Knowledge of or ability to learn security operations and procedures.
• Ability to be an effective team member and to work independently.
• Ability to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports.
• Ability to provide high quality customer service.
