Security and Risk Management Officer

Be part of The Mint’s security team as a Protective Services Officer. This full-time role focuses on rigorous asset protection and proactive risk management strategies in a dynamic atmosphere.

As a Protective Services Officer, you will be responsible for the safety of the Royal Canadian Mint's staff and facilities. Engaging in thorough assessments and risk mitigation efforts, you will monitor the premises, ensure compliance with security controls, and respond to emergencies. This position requires collaboration with law enforcement and first responders, reinforcing the Mint’s standing as a secure installation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Protect human life and RCM assets from threats

• Monitor behavior and identify security risks

• Conduct risk analyses for asset removals

• Respond to medical emergencies and incidents

• Provide access control and screening duties

Requirements:

• Post-secondary qualifications in security or related field

• Valid Standard First Aid and CPR certification

• Experience in HAZMAT or defensive tactics preferred

• Must be fully bilingual in English and French

• Firearms license (PAL) is considered an asset
