Position: Full-Time Police Recruit Service
Embark on a rewarding career as a full-time recruit with the Ottawa Police Service. Ideal candidates will meet hiring standards and possess valid PREP certification to start their journey.

This position is open to individuals eligible for one of four annual intakes aligned with Ontario Police College training dates. Applicants must be at least 18, hold a valid driver’s license, and successfully complete a security clearance. This role will challenge you physically and mentally, as you will work varying shifts and endure adverse conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Attend Ontario Police College for initial training

• Complete ongoing training essential for service

• Work variable shifts, including nights and holidays

• Participate in physical readiness evaluations

• Uphold moral and ethical standards at all times

Requirements:

• Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident

• High School Diploma or equivalent completed

• Valid full G Ontario Driver’s License

• Certification in Standard First Aid and CPR-C

• Pass security checks and background investigations
