Live Nation Entertainment seeks a motivated, entrepreneurial, and innovative individual to support the security functions at our venues.
The Security Supervisor supports the Security Manager in the day-to-day operation of the security department, ensuring the safety and security of guests, employees, artists, and the venue. This role provides on‑shift leadership to security staff, monitors compliance with venue policies and procedures, and helps maintain a safe and welcoming environment. The Security Supervisor assists in responding to incidents, conducting patrols, monitoring premises, and helping prevent theft, violence, and violations of venue rules while contributing to operational efficiency and guest satisfaction under the direction of the Security Manager.
Responsibilities- Work in conjunction with the Security Manager and venue management team to ensure compliance with all policies and procedures that relate to the security department as well as local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Manage relationships with third‑party security, including scheduling and managing labor.
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other people to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
- Move throughout the venue and all areas to visually monitor and take corrective action when needed.
- Provide guidance and improvement and implement necessary adjustments.
- Investigate and resolve security complaints. Interact positively with guests.
- Circulate among visitors, patrons, or employees to preserve order and protect property.
- Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
- Train, supervise, counsel, and discipline security staff for the efficient operation of the security department.
- Perform all other duties assigned by the Security Manager and venue management.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Security License required.
- Working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment, and enforcement procedures.
- Proven ability to effectively de‑escalate tense or high‑pressure situations while maintaining professionalism and guest safety.
- Strong strategic thinking and creative problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Acute sense of judgment, tact, and diplomacy.
- A keen sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs.
- Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs, lifting, and carrying 50 lbs. or more and occasional sitting.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and event‑based scheduling.
The expected compensation for this position in Ontario is $25 per hour.
Physical Requirements / Work EnvironmentSits for extended periods of time at a computer station or work desk; stands and walks throughout the day; occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.; uses hands and fingers to operate computers and office equipment for up to 8 hours each day; lifts up to 10 pounds regularly; exposed to typical office environment conditions and noise levels.
