Security Guard at CHEO

Become a vital part of CHEO's team as a Security Guard. This role entails maintaining safety, conducting investigations, and supporting patients, staff, and visitors on-site.

As a Security Guard, you will leverage your expertise in ensuring the security of CHEO's premises. With a focus on providing assistance in emergencies and conducting thorough patrols, your skills in conflict resolution and communication will be crucial. Engaging with a diverse range of individuals, you'll be responsible for enforcing regulations while catering to the needs of staff and visitors alike.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist patients, staff, and visitors during emergencies

• Guard and protect individuals, restraining violent persons as needed

• Conduct patrols and verify security of CHEO property

• Respond promptly to code calls and alarms

• Monitor video surveillance systems and access control

Requirements:

• Diploma in Law and Security or Police Sciences

• Two years of related work experience

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Vulnerable Sector Check required
