Serve as a Security Guard at CHEO in Ottawa, providing vital support to patients and staff by ensuring safety and responding to emergencies. This position involves active patrols and handling incidents effectively.
In this Security Guard position, you'll provide assistance by responding to calls, conducting investigations, and covering various duties including parking lot oversight. You will ensure compliance with safety regulations, monitor security systems, and support the workplace according to care standards. Among critical skills, conflict resolution and communication are key.
Key Responsibilities:
• Physically restrain violent persons when necessary
• Arm and disarm the Fire Control System
• Maintain physical security through regular patrols
• Write reports and manage incident documentation
• Conduct safety checks and respond to facility calls
Requirements:
• Diploma in Law and Security or Police Sciences
• At least two years of relevant work history
• Required Ontario Security Guard License
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Vulnerable sector check is essential
