Senior Penetration Testing Engineer

Join Finite State's Offensive Security team as a Senior Penetration Testing Engineer, working remotely from the U.S. Conduct critical security assessments for connected devices and systems.

This position is pivotal for someone with 7+ years of experience in embedded, IoT, or automotive security. You'll focus on hands-on penetration tests, utilizing Finite State's firmware analysis tools to assess vulnerabilities effectively. Your core responsibilities include planning and executing tests, engaging autonomously with clients, and producing impactful reports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute penetration tests on automotive and IoT systems

• Use advanced tools for vulnerability analysis and reporting

• Conduct hardware interactions and firmware extraction

• Assess wireless and network protocols relevant to assessments

• Produce high-quality reports detailing security findings

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or equivalent

• 7+ years in hardware-level security assessments

• Proficiency in Ghidra and firmware reverse engineering

• Experience with automotive and industrial control protocols

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
