Security Systems Technician

Looking for a Security Systems Installer with Cabling Experience

Minimum 1 years previous experience

This is a full-time job with no on-call

The successful candidate(s) will have a technical background and will be responsible for the installation, programming, and service of various security systems.

Must possess a G class license with a clean driver’s abstract (Company vehicle provided)

Must have a clean criminal record.

Must hold or be able to obtain and keep a “Reliability” status security clearance.

Duties include, but not limited to:

-Installation/service/termination of security equipment as required

-Installation/service of card access systems such as, Keyscan and Kantech

-Installation/service of intrusion systems such as, DSC

-Installation/service/termination of IP based and analog CCTV systems such as, Hikvision, Axis and Avigilon

-Installation/service/termination of intercom systems

-Connection of co-axial and network communication cables

-Programming of various security related platforms

-Review and interpretation of electrical drawings

-Proper care and maintenance of all corporate assets

-Able to work with minimal supervision

-Compliance with company policy and procedures

Qualifications and Skills:

-Exceptional computer and networking skills

-Strong attention to detail

-Proven analytical, organizational, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

-Experience deploying small, medium and large business sized network solutions, emphasis on the relation to IP CCTV

-Understanding of IP principles and best-practices

-Effective interpersonal skills as you are representing our company to customers/clients and other outside contacts

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills

-Demonstrated leadership and team-oriented abilities

-Valid driver’s license

Education and Experience:

-Post-secondary diploma in electronic security, electronics or relevant field (this is an asset, not a requirement)

-Manufacturer’s certifications (Kantech, DSC, Keyscan, etc.) (this is an asset, not a requirement)
