Responsibilities
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on production equipment such as pumps, motors, gearboxes, mechanical seals, laser alignment and other complex equipment.
  • Maintain operations and surveillance of plant utilities and ancillary equipment, related control panels, and building control systems.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions and determine corrective actions using technical manuals, schematics, and testing instruments.
  • Monitor, calibrate, and maintain critical systems such as pumps, motors, gearboxes, mechanical seals, laser alignment and other complex equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with CCOHS, CEC/NFC, and other safety regulations.
  • Assist in developing preventive maintenance schedules and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Participate in on‑call rotation and respond to emergency maintenance issues.
  • Operate forklifts, lifts, and other specialized equipment safely.
Qualifications
  • A valid electrician license is strongly preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school or associate degree a plus.
  • Instrumentation and calibration experience considered an asset.
  • Sound knowledge of manufacturing/industrial equipment.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in industrial or facilities maintenance, with expertise in one or more technical trades (e.g., welding, electrical, or mechanical).
  • Strong problem‑solving and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Experience with welding, minor plumbing, refrigeration considered a plus.
  • Proficiency with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.

Ottawa, ON.

Expected pay range: $42–$47 per hour, and Final date to receive applications:
January 30, 2026.
