(“WHG”), seeking a highly organized and forward-thinking Bilingual Group Benefits (“GB”) Administrator to join our close-knit team. The ideal candidate will leverage their carrier-level experience in group health benefits to manage the full lifecycle of client group proposals, sales implementation, mid-term reviews, renewals and request for quotations. - Key Responsibilities:
- Onboarding & Implementation of New Group Plans:Lead the seamless transition of new group plans. You must be well-versed in the specific requirements of various carriers to move a group from "prospect" to "active." This includes managing the collection of pertinent documents, data, and coordinating with the carrier's implementation team to ensure no disruption in coverage.
- Carrier Liaison:Act as the technical expert who understands exactly what the carrier expects at each stage of the implementation. You will anticipate potential bottlenecks in the enrollment process and resolve them proactively before they impact the client. Able to navigate group health benefit portals.
- End-to-End Renewal Management:Take full ownership of the renewal cycle, including sending out Requests for Quotes (RFQs) when required with the approval and direction of the advisor. You will receive, review, and negotiate renewals alongside the advisor with carriers to ensure competitive terms. Post-negotiation, you will finalize the renewal package by meticulously transferring and auditing carrier data.
- Record-Keeping: Maintains thorough and accurate records for all client communications, enrollment data, and plan implementation details to ensure compliance and smooth administrative processes. This includes using the various software (e.g. Equisoft, Actualis, SharePoint, etc.) already in place within our organization to track and save key documents, communication, update renewals, etc.
- Client Communication: As a Benefits Administrator, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional client service while managing the day-to-day administration and servicing of a dedicated portfolio of direct clients. You’ll act as a trusted point of contact, ensuring clear, timely communication, responding to inquiries, and proactively supporting client needs to drive overall satisfaction. Comfortably handling high volumes of inquiries via both phone and email responding promptly and professionally in English and French.
You will also be required to have seamless communication with our two advisors. - Workflow Structure: Implement and maintain a rigorous structure in your work, ensuring all tasks are prioritized and deadlines are met in a fast-paced environment. Actively streamline current office procedures for better efficiency.
- Additional tasks: You may be asked to take on additional tasks as it relates to the activities both advisors are taking on for the prospecting of new groups, this may include, research relating to companies looking for new group benefits, sending communication or telephoning possible new companies regarding WHG’s services.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience specifically at the carrier level within the group health benefits industry.
- Bilingualism: Fully fluent in English and French (written and verbal), with the ability to conduct professional business in both languages.
