Position: Youth Support Worker for Summer Programs
Become a Youth Support Worker at Pinecrest-Queensway Community Health Centre, focusing on empowering youth in action-packed summer programming in Ottawa. Engage youth aged 8-18 and foster vital life skills.

The Youth Support Worker position requires a passion for community-focused work and an ability to facilitate in-person activities that develop leadership and social skills among participants. Reporting to the Youth Programs Supervisor, you’ll work on planning enriching programs and providing access to local resources, all while engaging with diverse youth on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Involve youth in the planning and identification of programming

• Lead activities that build confidence and life skills

• Implement daily programming at a City of Ottawa shelter

• Provide essential information on community resources

• Participate in meetings with team and community partners

Requirements:

• 1 year in a degree or diploma in social services

• Experience with high-risk youth populations

• Familiarity with local community services

• Fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus

• Valid First Aid and CPR certificate required
