In this position, part of the Violence Against Women team, you will engage with clients to help establish safe and independent lives.
Your role includes providing critical support, coordinating services, and advocating for client needs within the community. This flexible position allows you to work closely with clients, promoting their autonomy and safety through various resources and services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate crisis intervention for women in need
• Support clients in housing applications
• Develop action plans with women to promote safety
• Advocate with landlords and community agencies
• Maintain client documentation and statistics
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field
• At least 2 years' experience in the VAW sector
• Comprehensive understanding of housing navigation
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Valid driver’s license required
Play a pivotal role in rebuilding lives as a Transitional Housing Support Worker at WOCRC.
