As a full-time Settlement Counsellor, your role will involve both direct client engagement and program coordination. You will offer individual and group support, focusing on needs assessments and developing tailored settlement plans. Your knowledge of local resources will be essential in guiding clients to the help they need. Advocacy and effective communication are pivotal aspects of this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and group information sessions

• Manage case files and ensure accurate documentation

• Connect clients with settlement resources

• Prepare clients for navigating Canadian systems

• Facilitate workshops and outreach initiatives

Requirements:

• Degree in Social Services or equivalent

• At least two years of relevant experience

• Strong cross-cultural communication skills

• Experience with group facilitation and de-escalation

• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office
