CHEO Family Resource Services Worker

Fulfill a critical role at CHEO as a Family Resource Worker, providing essential support to families with children in medical care. This position emphasizes resource coordination and emotional support.

As a part of the social work team, you will assist families in accessing community resources and financial aid for their children’s needs.

Your role involves submitting applications and ensuring timely follow-up, addressing practical hospital-related issues, and managing resource documentation. A solid understanding of community resource systems is crucial for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the social work team coordinating resources for families

• Facilitate completion of aid applications and referrals

• Organize and manage resource information efficiently

• Assist during inpatient hospital stays with logistical issues

• Pursue special funding requests for families

Requirements:

• College diploma in Social Services or equivalent

• Three years of experience with families facing health challenges

• Comprehensive knowledge of community resources

• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

• Bilingual in French and English
