Indigenous Youth Outreach Worker Position

Wabano Centre for Aboriginal Health seeks dedicated individuals to assist Indigenous youth involved in the child welfare system. As a Youth Outreach Worker, you will provide needs assessment, outreach, and case management while coordinating cultural activities. Engage with youth, build relationships, and advocate for their needs through community connections.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide outreach support and case management for Indigenous youth

• Develop and coordinate cultural activities and programs

• Maintain relationships with community partners and organizations

• Guide youth through systems navigation and goal achievement

• Conduct ongoing research on community resources

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in Social Services or related field

• 3+ years working with Indigenous youth

• Strong understanding of Indigenous history and health factors

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Power Point

• Flexible working hours including evenings and weekends
