Position: Inuuqatigiit Family Support Worker Role
Enhance the well-being of Inuit families as a Family Support Worker at Inuuqatigiit Centre in Ottawa. This full-time role focuses on community-driven events and crisis intervention to foster family support.

Inuuqatigiit Centre seeks a Family Support Worker dedicated to empowering Inuit families. You will plan family programming and facilitate culturally appropriate community events while responding to crisis situations. Collaboration with community resources and advocacy efforts are crucial components of this role to ensure holistic support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan family programming based on community input

• Facilitate culturally appropriate community events regularly

• Respond to crisis situations and provide home visits

• Develop connections with community services for referrals

• Assist in family support through advocacy efforts

Requirements:

• Minimum of one year experience with families or community support

• Understanding of Inuit cultural needs and community services

• Preferred post-secondary education in relevant fields

• Solid communication skills in English;
Inuktitut is a plus

• Required police check and CPR/First Aid certification
