Community Service Coordinator at WOCRC

Become a Community Service Coordinator with the Western Ottawa Community Resource Centre (WOCRC). This full-time role involves supporting independent living for older adults and individuals with disabilities through service coordination and community outreach.

As a Service Coordinator, you will work with a multi-disciplinary team to assess and deliver crucial community and social services. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct client intake and assessments for service eligibility

• Coordinate delivery of services like Meals, Transportation, and Foot Care

• Provide ongoing support and referrals to community resources

• Advocate for clients’ needs with various service providers

• Facilitate community education and outreach initiatives

Requirements:

• B.A. or equivalent in Gerontology, Counseling, or Community Support

• Minimum of two years in social and health services

• Knowledge of local communities served and social service systems

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout Ottawa
