Bilingual Transitional Housing Worker

Empower women to reclaim their lives as a Bilingual Transitional Housing Support Worker. This impactful role focuses on facilitating housing solutions for women escaping domestic abuse while providing critical support.

In this part-time position at 0.8 FTE, you will assist clients in accessing resources, developing safety plans, and maintaining housing. Leveraging your crisis intervention and advocacy skills, you will empower women to navigate their paths to independence. Collaboration with community resources and direct client support are key aspects of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide crisis intervention through personal and telephone support

• Help clients develop actionable plans for independence

• Facilitate access to social housing and community resources

• Advocate with third parties for client needs

• Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Social Work or equivalent education

• Two years of experience in Violence Against Women services

• Crisis intervention skills and knowledge of related issues

• Bilingual: fluent in English and French

• Valid driver’s license and vehicle access
