Advance youth mental health initiatives as a Social Worker with CHEO in Ottawa.
This role offers flexible scheduling, focusing on intake assessments and therapeutic interventions for youth.
As part of the Outpatient Mental Health Services, your responsibilities will include conducting youth-friendly assessments and providing counseling through various intervention programs. You will actively engage in community presentations, mentor Social Work students, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct youth-friendly intake assessments
• Provide crisis intervention and short-term counseling
• Support monthly drop-in and weekly programs
• Engage with the Youth Advisory Committee
• Maintain detailed clinical documentation
Requirements:
• Accredited M.S.W. or B.S.W. graduate
• 3 years of experience in youth mental health preferred
• Fluent in French and English
• Strong skills in risk assessment
• Access to a vehicle for community travel
