Be an Intake Worker with Family Services à la famille Ottawa (FSO-SFO), central to delivering critical mental health support. This casual position, based in Ottawa, focuses on initial assessments and community outreach.
As an Intake Worker, your primary responsibility will be to assist clients through their first steps into receiving mental health support. You will perform detailed assessments, offer crisis intervention, and ensure clients are connected to essential services, while maintaining precise documentation and records. Collaborating with community partners, you will play a key role in improving lives across Ottawa.
Key Responsibilities:
• Answer intake calls in a supportive manner
• Conduct assessments to evaluate client needs
• Engage in crisis intervention when required
• Maintain documentation standards as per protocols
• Develop and sustain referral sources within the community
Requirements:
• B.S.W. or equivalent with one year in social services
• Familiarity with crisis intervention protocols
• Strong organizational and team skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Satisfactory criminal record check required
