The Career Counselor/Caseworker role at Inuuqatigiit Centre focuses on helping Inuit adults (18+) achieve their career and educational aspirations. This position requires developing personalized plans and collaborating with local organizations. You will guide participants through job searches, education pathways, and essential life skills for workforce integration.
Key Responsibilities:
• Craft individualized career and action plans tailored to participants
• Facilitate ongoing case management and one-on-one support
• Assess participants’ educational backgrounds for proper guidance
• Offer assistance with resumes, job searches, and applications
• Conduct training on workplace readiness and job retention
Requirements:
• At least two years’ experience in career development preferred
• Background working with Inuit or Indigenous communities essential
• Relevant post-secondary education is an asset
• Strong communication skills in English needed
• Criminal Reference Check for the Vulnerable Sector required
