Position: Counseller/Social Worker for Community Care
Empower individuals at Jewish Family Services of Ottawa as a Casual Counsellor/Social Worker.

This role offers a hybrid work environment where you can provide client assessments and direct treatment during convenient hours.

In this position at The Walk-In Counselling Clinic, you will deliver essential counselling services while collaborating with diverse professionals and maintaining cooperative relationships with community agencies. Your skills in crisis intervention and documentation will ensure that clients receive high-quality care tailored to their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct counselling/psychotherapy for walk-in clients

• Assess clients and offer culturally-specific treatments

• Collaborate with community and health professionals

• Ensure documentation compliance with best practices

• Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities

Requirements:

• Registered with OCSWSSW, CRPO, or similar association

• Experience in individual and family therapy models

• Flexible availability according to program needs

• Excellent organizational and communication skills

• Fluency in English mandatory; additional languages advantageous
