As a key member of a multidisciplinary team at WOCRC, you will work with youth aged 12-26, fostering their development and community ties. Your responsibilities include facilitating outreach programs, developing leadership workshops, and identifying community needs. This role is vital for building resilience and providing essential support to at-risk youth and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct outreach to at-risk youth and families
• Facilitate community leadership and mentoring programs
• Implement special projects addressing community needs
• Promote volunteerism and supervise community volunteers
• Create a supportive environment for youth challenges
Requirements:
• Diploma in Child and Youth Care or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year experience with youth in community settings
• Knowledge of LGBTQ+ youth issues and resilience-building
• Training in group facilitation and leadership development
• Ability to work flexible hours and travel in the service area
