Ottawa Community Worker Needed

Join the Pinecrest-Queensway Community Health Centre as a Community Worker in Ottawa. This part-time role offers a chance to make a real impact through community outreach and programming.

In this temporary position of 28 hours per week, you will engage with local communities to develop leadership skills and promote volunteer opportunities. Utilize your excellent facilitation skills to conduct workshops and support civic engagement initiatives. Your efforts will directly help those most vulnerable in our community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct outreach to community members to identify needs

• Develop and implement community programs and activities

• Maintain accurate records and evaluations for programs

• Lead team meetings and collaborate with staff

• Work in various physical environments as needed

Requirements:

• Degree/diploma in health or social services

• Training in group facilitation and program planning

• Familiarity with community resources and supports

• Valid driver’s license and vehicle access preferred

• Physical ability to lift and carry weight
