Position: Belong Social Worker Role
Contribute to social justice as a Social Worker with Belong Ottawa, providing essential support and outreach services. Work collaboratively with a diverse team to enhance participants’ well-being.

This position requires a commitment to helping vulnerable populations meet their basic needs and achieve their goals. You will be involved in daily operations, including planning activities and providing advocacy services.

Your role is critical in fostering a safe and inclusive environment for all community members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a supportive atmosphere at the Centre

• Assist with the planning of recreational programming

• Encourage participant engagement in all activities

• Coordinate with other staff for seamless operations

• Implement critical incident management plans

Requirements:

• Education in social work or equivalent experience

• Proficiency in crisis intervention techniques

• Experience with homelessness and addiction contexts

• Community resource knowledge for effective referrals

• Bilingualism is an asset
