Position: Youth Counsellor Role at The Royal
The Royal is seeking a dedicated Youth Counsellor to support adolescents facing psychiatric challenges. This dynamic role emphasizes crisis management and therapeutic guidance.

The ideal candidate will have relevant education, such as a Child & Youth Care Diploma or Bachelor’s degree. With a focus on safe and therapeutic interactions, you will collaborate closely with a treatment team. Responsibilities include group facilitation and maintaining critical records for assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement Child and Youth Counsellor Programs effectively

• Confer with fellow Counsellors and treatment team

• Ensure a safe therapeutic environment

• Supervise students and provide guidance as needed

• Participate in crisis management and support services

Requirements:

• Advanced Diploma or Bachelor’s in Child & Youth Care

• Experience working with high-risk youth

• Ability to work flexible hours as needed

• Knowledge of computer systems for record keeping

• English proficiency, French is a plus
