Position: Social Worker for Student Services
Shape student success as a Social Worker at the Ottawa Catholic School Board. This term position focuses on therapeutic support and intervention strategies for students in need.

The OCSB seeks a qualified Social Worker to provide counseling, support, and psychoeducation, impacting over 50,000 students across diverse locations. Under the guidance of the Social Work Lead, you will offer individual and group therapy, as well as collaboration with families and educational staff. Your expertise will foster emotional well-being and academic achievement in students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Screen and evaluate student referrals for intervention

• Conduct psychosocial assessments and goal setting

• Develop treatment plans and provide therapy

• Manage crisis interventions in tragic situations

• Support parents with outreach and learning strategies

Requirements:

• Master of Social Work Degree

• Registered with Ontario College of Social Workers

• 5 years in therapeutic services and crisis intervention

• Strong clinical skills and understanding of diversity

• Valid Ontario driver’s license and vehicle usage
