Join Tungasuvvingat Inuit as a Housing-Based Case Manager and provide essential support to help Ottawa's homeless individuals transition into stable housing. This full-time position is integral to implementing the Housing First approach.
In your role, you will work with clients to develop tailored service plans aimed at promoting housing stability. Collaborating with housing specialists and cultural support workers, your responsibilities will include ongoing assessments and risk management to ensure client safety and well-being. This position stresses the importance of cultural sensitivity in helping clients navigate housing challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide effective client services aligned with cultural values
• Advocate for comprehensive client needs
• Prepare and review safety and risk plans
• Input client data for monthly reporting
• Organize and maintain client case files
Requirements:
• Diploma in social work or related field
• Experience in urban housing environments
• Strong skills in MS Word, Excel, and Power Point
• First aid and crisis intervention training preferred
• Exceptional interpersonal abilities
