Bring creativity and leadership to senior recreation as an Activities Assistant supporting individual and group programs. Work with residents, families, and volunteers through meaningful activities.
This Activities Assistant role suits candidates with leisure experience involving seniors and recreation education or equivalent experience. You will help plan, organize, promote, and evaluate activities while encouraging resident participation. Adaptability, teamwork, and animation skills support daily programming and resident assistance.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, organize, promote, and evaluate recreational activities
- Animate individual and group activities for residents
- Encourage residents to participate in chosen activities
- Assist residents during scheduled activity times
- Maintain attendance records for all activities
- Diploma in Recreation and Leisure Services or equivalent
- Experience in leisure services with seniors
- Organizational, leadership, and animation skills
- Creative, innovative, adaptable, and team-oriented approach
- Keen interest in working with seniors
Support senior recreation through creative programming, resident assistance, accurate records, and strong organizational and leadership skills.
