Support safe overnight shelter operations in Sudbury with meal preparation, resident assistance, referrals, and accurate incident documentation.
The Salvation Army seeks a permanent full time Overnight Worker for Sudbury Cedar Place. You will provide a welcoming environment, support individuals and families, and assist with housing referrals. The position includes intake, HIFIS documentation, nightly rounds, food preparation, sanitation, and communication with management.
Key Responsibilities:- Record activities, behaviors, incidents, referrals, and turnaways
- Complete guest intake and enter information into HIFIS
- Conduct nightly rounds and check facility security
- Prepare meals and maintain available resident food supplies
- Clean, sanitize, organize, and record refrigeration temperatures
- More than three months under one year related experience
- Minimum Grade XII diploma
- First Aid, CPR, and Safe Food Handlers certification
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification
- English communication, computer, and clerical skills
