Job Description:DEFSEC Technologies is seeking a skilled Intermediate Software Test Engineer to join our LC4
ISR program. This role focuses on the verification and validation of software to ensure it functions as intended and integrates smoothly into the larger environment.
The Intermediate Software Test Engineer plays a critical role as part of the Engineering team responsible for the design, conduct, and reporting of IVVQ activities.
Please note that this role may involve significant office/lab work as well as working at client site(s).
Responsibilities:- Write test plans and test procedures that will properly verify and validate the WPF C# / .NET applications
- Plan, develop and execute test cases.
- Analyze requirements and contribute to the development of traceability matrices
- Work with System Engineers for refinement of requirements
- Raise project issues/risks and track to resolution
- Provide Test Reports and status updates on test activities
- Under test methodologies
- Efficiently work with automation test tools/platforms like Squish, Selenium for test activities.
- Web API testing
- Observe test guidelines and company internal processes
- Previous experience with:
- Test Case development and execution; automated test experience is preferred
- Requirements Analysis
- Test Management Tools
- Demonstrated capabilities:
- Skilled communicator, both written and spoken
- Possession of an active Canadian Secret security clearance
- Ability to obtain Controlled Goods clearances
- At least five (5) years demonstrated experience in IV&V or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Technology, or other STEM-related discipline from a recognized university.
- Demonstrated experience with test automation or test automation tools
- Experience with Squish and Ansible toolsets
- Experience working with TAK integration is an asset
- Demonstrated test experience in military Command and Control (C2) systems, and secure voice and data communication systems:
- System of systems engineering and integration
- Core network
- Applications
- Experience handling and working on physical systems, products, or equipment.
- Executing Integration and/or leading Integration
Activities: - Developing an Integration Strategy/Plan
- Monitoring the Integration Activity
- Providing reports and status updates
- Security, Performance, and Stability testing
- Script and Simulation tools development and maintenance
- Experience with ETM and DOORS is an asset
