Position: Scribd Backend Engineer Role
We're seeking a skilled Backend Engineer for Scribd's Content Foundations team. Focus on designing and implementing systems to optimize content upload and processing workflows.

With over 4 years of software engineering experience, you will work with ingestion pipelines and improve metadata quality. This role involves collaborating with ML Engineering and the Search & Discovery teams to enhance performance and discoverability in our products. Proficient knowledge in Ruby, Python, or Go is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create features for metadata services and content workflows

• Develop reliable systems for various file formats and inputs

• Partner with cross-functional teams to boost user experience

• Drive enhancements in metadata extraction and classification

• Employ AI practices to streamline engineering solutions

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years of experience in software engineering

• Experience with backend or content processing systems

• Proficiency in at least one programming language:
Ruby, Python, or Go

• Familiarity with AWS infrastructure and relational databases

• Excellent communication skills for team collaboration
